Our reproductive health is an indicator for many of our current and future health outcomes. Our hormones determine how we move through our fertile years – whether or not we are making babies – transition through menopause with ease, and welcome our senior years with strong bones and a healthy heart.
Has it been harder to get pregnant than you expected? Are you having difficulty with headaches, hot flashes or sugar cravings? How easy is it for you to quiet your mind, take time for a deep breath, or find the clarity you need to make your health a top priority again?
You are not alone. Millions of people are also struggling with these same concerns. Our bodies do give us warning signs, whether it’s burn-out, extra weight, fatigue, sleep difficulties, chronic menstrual cramps, irregular menstrual cycles, infertility, night sweats, depression, anxiety, or chronic pain.
The good news is that, no matter how long you have felt out-of-sorts, there are indeed powerful, all-natural, and holistic solutions to restore your reproductive health and reclaim a life of optimal wellness, balance, and joy through the health care services we provide.
You’ll notice the difference from the moment you walk in our door. It’s peaceful here. Our philosophy is not just to work on your body’s symptoms – we know it’s equally important to rebalance your constitution, tend to your emotions, and nourish your spirit. We want you to be as as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Our treatment rooms are private and dimly lit. We play soft relaxing music and use sheets and cozy blankets instead of table paper. Many of our patients tell us that they appreciate this specialized care, and look forward to their next visit as we invite a personal respite from the busy and chaotic outside world.
Everything we do is based on our belief that we are all participants in creating a safe, just, equitable, happier and healthier world.

I’m Cally Huttar (she/her/hers), PhD, LAc, FABORM, acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, with a doctorate in depth psychology, and founder of Lotus Leaf Acupuncture & Wellness Center. I also hold advanced certification in Reproductive Acupuncture (ABORM) and advanced training in Functional Medicine.
I understand how challenging it is to feel exhausted and worn down by pain, or overwhelmed and defeated by poor health. I can relate to the fear and hopelessness that come with unresolved questions and the frustration of short-term suppression of symptoms. I also know the relief and joy that is available when the root cause is identified and treated and optimal health and well-being is achieved.
Maria Hunter (she/her/hers), LAc, AEMP, FABORM is the Clinic Manager for Lotus Leaf Acupuncture & Wellness Center. She loves working with all people’s reproductive health care needs, especially fertility, hormone balancing to regulate your cycles, and resolve those painful menstrual cramps, migraines and breast tenderness, or help you ease through menopause. Maria holds advanced certification in Reproductive Acupuncture (ABORM) and is committed and excited to provide natural solutions for your health concerns and is inspired to strengthen the health of communities through individualized and effective care.
Maria has always had a commitment to health and healing. Before becoming an acupuncturist, she could often be found tending to fellow runners and dancers sprained ankles, applying herbal solutions to bites and bruises, or cooking up nutritionally dense meals for her friends and family. It was a circuitous route to Chinese medicine beginning with pre-med, graduating with degrees in Public and Global health, and finally discovering acupuncture to address her own health concerns.
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine offered the individualized approach to health and healing that Maria had been searching for. She completed her studies at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, and upon receiving her Masters degree, she took off for China to work and study with the best doctors in Jiangsu Province. She returned home to the Pacific Northwest grateful for the clean air and inspired to bring this medicine to as many people as possible
Maria is a NCCAOM board certified and Washington State Licensed acupuncturist.
